speechLeobon Gameng was born of immigrant parents in Chicago, Illinois.  Both his parents came over from the Philippines in search of a better life. Leobon’s mother works as a Surgical Technician at Evanston Hospital, a North Shore University Hospital and his father has been retired after many years as a Merchant Marine.

Leobon attended several schools in the Chicago area including St. Viator Catholic School, Old Orchard Junior High School (Graduated June 2001), and Niles North High School (Graduated June 2005).  He is proud of his local roots and enjoys living in the Chicago suburb of Skokie.  Leobon graduated from Boston University in May 2009 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics, a Minor in Mathematics with a Specialization of Statistics, and a Concentration in Education in May 2009. During Leobon’s college career, he held many leadership positions. He was the Vice President of the Bay State Road Residence Hall Association, Voting Senator for Bay State Road to the Undergraduate Student Government (USG), and Campus Safety Committee Chair for the USG.  He worked with university administrators, community leaders, local politicians, and local police. With each of them, he worked with them and the community to be their links to each other. By facilitating, he helped push reform through and improved the environment around him, his neighbors, and his friends.

Currently, Leobon is a registered substitute teacher with Glencoe Public School District 35, Evanston Township District 202, New Trier Township District 203, Township High School District 211, Township High School District 214 and various Archdiocese of Chicago catholic schools.  In addition, he is a registered official for the Illinois High School Association.  He officiates games in the Central Suburban League, City Suburban Catholic Conference, DuPage Valley Conference, Girls Catholic Athletic Conference, Mid-Suburban League, Niles Township Little Nine Conference, Northern League, Northwest Suburban Catholic Conference, Southern Christian Conference, and the Western Suburban Conference.  In addition, he officiates USA club volleyball and NCAA games at the Division II and III levels.
